Michael Halmo, son of Georgius Halmo & Anna Bujna, was born on December 22, 1787 in Bosany house #53 and died in May 1830 in Bosany. He married Catherina Csicsman (daughter of Joannes Csicsman and Catherina Duska/Duskovics) on June 14, 1807 in Bosany. They had the following children:

• Catherina Halmo, born April 21, 1811; died April 28, 1815

• Michael Halmo, born in Brodzany, Slovakia on October 21, 1877; died August 18, 1946 in Midland, Michigan

Generation No. 6

John Halmo (son of Michael Halmo & Julianna Olah) was born on January 9, 1874 in Turesanka (Turcianky), Slovakia.  He married Maria Dvonc of Nagy Belicz on November 8, 1899. 

John Halmo immigrated to the U.S. from Hamburg on the ship Graf Waldersee and arrived at the port of New York on May 8, 1903. A few months later, his wife and son John J. Halmo joined him. They landed in New York on September 19, 1903 on the ship Auguste Victoria. 

John Halmo and Maria Dvonc had the following children:

• John Joseph Halmo, born in Brodzany on March 24, 1902; died in Lansing Michigan on July 20, 1996

• Stephen John Halmo, born in Chicago Illinois on January 4, 1904; died in St. John's Michigan on March 28, 1996

• Anna Halmo, born in Chicago Illinois circa 1907; died in childhood

• Frank Halmo, born in Chicago Illinois in January 1912; died in infancy

Michael Halmo (son of Michael Halmo & Julianna Olah) was born October 21, 1877 in Brodzany. He married Anna Skolka (daughter of Joannes Skolka and Maria Mikula) on November 9, 1901 in Brodzany. He departed from Bremen on January 19, 1905 on the ship Oldenburg and landed at Baltimore, Maryland on February 5th, 1905.

Michael Halmo & Anna Skolka had the following children:

• Joseph Halmo, born September 17, 1902 in Brodzany  

• Anton Joseph Halmo, born May 11, 1905 possibly in Brodzany; died September 17, 1945 in Windsor Ontario Canada

Stefan Halmo (son of Michael Halmo & Julianna Olah) was born in 1885 in Brodzany and died January 18, 1972 in Canada. He married Angela Dragula (daughter of Stephan Dragula and Julianna Gergel) on November 7, 1910 in Brodzany. They had the following children:

• Steve Halmo, born December 14, 1913; died October 1, 2005

• Mary Halmo, born January 6, 1919; died March 23, 2005

• Rudy Halmo, living, owner of Rudy Halmo Jewellers

The family immigrated to Canada on the ship Ascania, landing at the port of Quebec on July 28, 1929. They settled in Saskatchewan where they had their own farm.

Stephan John Halmo (son of John Halmo & Maria Dvonc) was born in Chicago, Illinois on January 4, 1904 and died in St. John's, Michigan on March 28, 1996. On May 19, 1924, he married Valenda Mazey (daughter of Ambrose Mazey & Anna Gergel).

	Anton Joseph Halmo, Brodzany 1928

Anton Joseph Halmo (son of Michael Halmo & Anna Skolka) was born May 11, 1905, possibly in Brodzany, and died September 17, 1945 in Windsor Ontario Canada. He landed at New York's Ellis Island on July 14, 1922 on the ship Rotterdam. He returned to Slovakia for a few years. On June 8, 1928, he arrived at Quebec, Canada on the Empress of Australia. In 1932, he married Anna Janci (daughter of Stephan Janci & Maria Pudis). Anton Halmo and his wife Anna, were the founders of Halmo Jewellers in Windsor, Canada. They had the following children:

• Cyril Halmo, living

• Dorothy Halmo, living

• Martha Halmo, living

• David Halmo, born December 20, 1939; died February 25, 2005
